Full Moon Walkabout

A few days before Valentine's Day 2003 neighboring farm workers, who wanted to surprise their wives, came to us with the idea for the Full Moon Walkabout. And ….., it became a success!!! An article in the local newspaper resulted in diverse requests for similar events.

Within a few months a wide variety of people, nationalities and organizations already made use of this service, or have made bookings for it. Examples are airline- and other large companies (so called 'functions') but also some regional accommodation- and small business owners who want to entertain their (regular and long-stay) guests
and staff.

And, although we kept the name 'Full Moon Walkabout' (What's in a name?), it can also be organized with waning, new or waxing moon.

Full Moon Walkabout is restricted to parties from 10 to approx. 40 participants.
A Full Moon Walk starts with an introduction (during day/twilight) in the Klaas Voogds Panorama and a soft drink. Hereafter small groups are guided into the Klaas Voogds
Maze with torches and a list of 10 questions related to stories and pathnames.
Participants have to walk virtually every path in the Maze in order to obtain all
the answers.

Duration: 1.5 to 2.5 hrs. but sometimes more.
Tariff: R100.00 pp. including soft drinks and a memento.

In co-operation with local businesses we can also arrange full-service programs such
as meals, accommodation, wine-tasting, a guided tour in a real indigenous
game-reserve just across the road and other activities.
